Role of DAD
Pension administration for defence personnel
The Defence Accounts Department is responsible for the sanction, payment and accounting of pensions for all retired defence personnel — officers, JCOs, other ranks and their families. PCDA (Pensions), Prayagraj is the principal office that processes and disburses defence pensions across India.
Through the SPARSH (System for Pension Administration — Raksha) platform, pensioners can access their pension status, update personal and bank details, submit digital life certificates, and raise grievances — all online, without visiting any office.

Update your bank account, address, phone number and nominee details through your SPARSH profile.
Update on SPARSH ↗Life Certificate
Submit your annual life certificate digitally via Jeevan Pramaan or at your nearest bank or CSC.
Jeevan Pramaan ↗Grievance Redressal
If you have a pension-related grievance that has not been resolved through SPARSH, you may write to the Grievance Cell at PCDA (Pensions), Prayagraj or contact the SPARSH helpline at 1800-180-5325. Grievances may also be lodged on CPENGRAMS.

What do you need help with?
Pension not credited
If your monthly pension has not been credited to your bank account, check your SPARSH dashboard for the payment status. If the issue persists, raise a grievance on SPARSH or contact PCDA (Pensions) helpline.
Bank account update
To change the bank account where your pension is credited, log in to SPARSH and submit a bank change request with the new account details and a cancelled cheque. The change is processed after verification.
Life certificate submission
Annual life certificate (Jeevan Pramaan) must be submitted between 1 November and 30 November each year. You can submit digitally via the Jeevan Pramaan app, at your bank branch, or at a Common Service Centre.
Grievance redressal
For unresolved pension issues, write to the Grievance Cell at PCDA (Pensions), Prayagraj or contact the SPARSH helpline at 1800-180-5325.
