Scope of this policy

This privacy policy applies to the website of the Controller General of Defence Accounts at the cgda.gov.in domain and any successor domain notified by the Department. The policy covers information that this website collects from visitors and how that information is handled. The Department does not sell, rent, or share this information with any third party except where disclosure is required by law, or in connection with the routing of grievances to the appropriate authority.

This website does not use tracking cookies. The site uses local browser storage to remember visitor preferences such as the chosen accessibility theme and the language toggle setting. Local browser storage is held on the visitor's own device and is not transmitted to the Department's servers.

Retention

Forms that collect personal information are transmitted over secure channels. Access to information submitted through the office data submission form is limited to authorised personnel of the Department and is governed by departmental confidentiality norms.

This website is intended for the general public and does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of eighteen. Any information that is found to have been submitted by a minor without parental consent will be deleted on request.
